MEDIA/MATERIAL:  Mixed media--ceramic, acrylics, plaster, etc.

TECHNIQUES:  Hand built with clay slabs, coils, with the surface treated with acrylics and plaster washes.

DIMENSIONS:  Would fit in a rectangular space 36"x16"x28"

COMMENTS: An under-sea dream of animal life in the murky cold depths inspired this piece. It is more painstakingly true to the dream animal than any other piece I've made. This part of its anatomy was extremely difficult to execute in ceramics. Additionally, it required a lot of resolve to allow myself to go through with it as I wanted to avoid the inevitable controversy but did not want to kill the piece because of it.
